- The building at Anzinger Straße 2 in Pöring can look back on an eventful history: since 1958 the coat factory Hartmann & Co, a ready-to-wear tailoring shop for ladies' coats, was located here until 1987.
This was followed by a short interlude as a supermarket before a martial arts school was founded in 1990, which moved into the now abandoned supermarket.
Taekwon-Do is still taught here today.
The building is currently under renovation, which is why the Zornedingen building committee now had to vote on the change of use from a penny market to a martial arts school - around 30 years after it was founded.
Since little has been changed in the existing building so far, the use as retail was still entered in the development plan.
The owner of the sports school wants to redesign the building
The current owner of the sports school would like to redesign the building: The school is to be expanded to include a training area and a relaxation pool in the outdoor area.
The previous one apartment will become two in the future: one on the ground floor, another on the upper floor, to which a roof terrace is connected.
Due to the proximity to the S-Bahn, the noise and privacy protection is to be improved by means of a noise barrier on the southern property boundary.
Sufficient green areas must be provided and the location of the parking spaces will also be changed.
The building committee welcomed the project.
Helmut Obermaier (Greens) emphasized that his parliamentary group saw the redesign as positive: "Before there was a dreary stone desert, the building already looks much friendlier."
