Offshore wind also creates deep tensions

DECRYPTION - France is keen to develop offshore wind power at all costs and to catch up with other European countries. An ambition that arouses dissension.


Since 2010, calls for tenders have been launched, public debates have been linked, authorizations have been granted by the prefectures.

Ten years later, after this major administrative turmoil to deploy offshore wind power, the result is very poor… A single floating wind turbine at sea!
