Against the background of the contacts between Blue and White and the Likud, which were intended to prevent the dissolution of the Knesset and a move to a fourth election campaign in about a year, a revolt is forming in Bnei Gantz's party that could thwart the initiative.
After MKs Zamir, Haimovich and Ram Shefa announced that they would not support a compromise with the Likud, MK Michal Kotler-Wensch also joined them.
"The time has come to return to sovereignty in a democracy and seek its decision," she wrote on her Twitter account.
This is after yesterday, as mentioned, Assaf Zamir tweeted that "the time has come to end with the farce," referring to the faltering partnership between the Likud and Blue and White.
Denied responsibility to the citizens of the State of Israel, I supported the unity government.
The same responsibility now requires considering the poor possibility of elections, in the face of the intolerable reality of a dysfunctional government, which in its actions crumbles the rules of the game, including the misuse of basic laws.
It is time to return to sovereignty in a democracy and seek its decision.

The expansion of the revolt against Ganz may torpedo the initiative even if agreements are reached between the Likud and Blue and White, since now the necessary majority depends on restraint.
The two parties agreed yesterday to postpone the decision on the state budget until January 5, and if no agreement is reached by then - Israel will go to the elections to be held on March 23.
"The blue-and-white rebels are ready to take Israel to the polls at the height of a health crisis only to harm Netanyahu personally," said coalition chairman MK Miki Zohar.
"Even the peace agreements and the millions of vaccines do not help them make the right decision."

Against the background of the difficulties in obtaining the necessary majority in the Knesset to promote a compromise, MK Bezalel Smutrich (right) said that his faction would consider supporting the settlement between the Likud and Blue and White "out of consideration for responsibility towards the country's citizens." His faction will vote against the compromise that is being formulated, and at most will support a point amendment to Basic Law: The State Economy to prevent paralysis as a result of a lack of budget.
