Seemingly too many people cavort around the Olchinger See when the weather is nice.
The city responded to complaints and introduced a one-way system around the lake.
Olching
-
Lake Olching is
a popular destination
, especially when the weather is nice
.
But apparently there are too many people
to be able to adhere to
the currently applicable
distance
rules.
The city received some complaints.
The town hall reacted with a
one-way regulation
.
The mockery followed promptly.
Nobody would have believed that a year ago:
There is now a one-way regulation
at the
Olchinger See
.
In other words: if you want to go around the water, which most people do due to the small size of the lake, you can only do so in a clockwise direction.
So that you can better imagine it: "When you come out of the Villa Romantica, you should turn left," explains town hall spokeswoman Julia Henderichs.
Olchinger See: Signs show the way to the destination
Corresponding signs have already been put up.
It is a recommendation for action.
If it is not possible to keep your distance, you should also refer to the mask requirement.
However, Henderichs emphasizes: "We will not control it." Nobody now has to fear that he will have to pay a fine for this.
With this measure, the city has responded to the complaints of a handful of citizens who regularly
visit the Olchinger See
.
“When the weather is nice, there is a lot going on here.
People have reported that clearances cannot be maintained when overtaking. ”The danger in the fresh air is considered to be low, but they do not want to simply ignore it.
Bottleneck at Olchinger See led to one-way regulation
According to Henderichs, it is primarily about a bottleneck at the
lake
up on Neufeldstrasse.
The path is very narrow through the hedge and fence.
“We didn't want to block the position completely.
Then people would have to turn around again and would no longer be able to go around the lake, ”says Henderichs.
The one-way rule only applies to this small area.
In fact, however, this means that if you want to
walk
around the entire
lake
, you have to stick to the given direction - or turn around again if you are in the wrong direction.

Photos of the signs quickly circulated on the social network Facebook.
In the group "You come from Olching, if ..." the mockery followed promptly in hundreds of comments.
Some thought it was an April Fool's joke, others joked: "The next thing is a no-overtaking ban."
One-way regulation at Olchinger See: "You can never please everyone."
But there were also voices with an opposing thrust: “Better than blocking the section” or “It's a shame that people just don't seem to adhere to the applicable rules and something like that is necessary”.
Spokeswoman Henderichs knows the discussion.
E-mails also arrived at the town hall describing the new regulation as "rubbish".
Henderichs: "You can never please everyone."
