The NGO Barakacity, based in Evry-Courcouronnes, is once again master of the liquidation of its assets.
The new lawyers of the association, Me Sefen Guez Guez and Me Ouadie Elhamamouchi, announce in a press release that the court of Evry-Courcouronnes canceled this Tuesday, December 22 the appointment of the judicial representative responsible for the liquidation of the assets of the association : sale of the Evry-Courcouronnes premises, dismissal of staff, balance of bank accounts.

This procedure "of placing under supervision" followed the dissolution of the association on October 28 by government decree, motivated by speeches "inciting to discrimination, hatred or violence" of its president, Idriss Sihamedi.
A dissolution confirmed by the summary judge of the Council of State on November 25.
"It's a strong message"
On November 16, the Evry prosecutor's office seized the president of the president of the judicial tribunal with a view to the designation of this judicial representative.
But in its judgment, the court ruled that this designation had not been made during an adversarial debate.

As a consequence of this judgment for the association's councils, Barakacity will be able to “appoint its own legal representative, decide the future of its 1,000 m2 premises in Evry-Courcouronnes and dispose of the 500,000 euros which are still in an escrow account ( Editor's note: account blocked by court decision), adds Me Sefen Guez Guez, contacted by phone.
This asset will then be able to be transferred to other structures and the association will be able to continue its social missions ”.
But "abroad", however specifies Idriss Sihamedi on the social network, due to the dissolution of the NGO in France.
Questioned by us, the Evry prosecutor's office qualifies the reading of the judgment.
He indicates that the order appointing the judicial representative "has been canceled for formal reasons" and that the money remains for the moment "in frozen sequestration".
