Gantz's lack of control over his party is the reason for the election Israel today

The Prime Minister may not have agreements, but if Ganz and his party had run as partners, there would have been no exit stations, and there would have been a rotation • Now Prime Minister Netanyahu will have to deal with the alarming opening figures of this election • Interpretation

The prime minister could not dismantle the unity government and not maintain the rotation, even if he very much wanted to, if blue and white were to act as real partners in the government.

Tricks and sticks would not help him.

No exit stations and no breaches in the agreement.

Netanyahu also did not think about the exit point of the budget during the coalition agreements.

After all, he is the one who demanded a biennial budget.

Netanyahu: "Ganz folds against Nissenkorn, which imposes a dictatorship of officials" // From Benjamin Netanyahu's Facebook page

Netanyahu's long reign proved that despite the political rivalries, paranoia and constant suspicious conduct, he also knows how to behave pragmatically, even towards his haters.

He formed a government with Tzipi Livni.

And with Naftali Bennett.

And after three charged and ugly elections - even with Bnei Gantz.

What was revealed in the last day, when Gantz finally and openly lost control of his party, with three of his members rejecting his explicit request to abstain from voting, and stand after a planned ambush to vote against it, actually accompanied the party from day one in the government.

The first signal to the strange creature born here, was when Minister Meirav Cohen said a week after the formation of the government bluntly that she has no confidence in the prime minister.

This is a statement that cannot be heard by a minister sitting in his government and bearing collective responsibility for his decisions.

This is a statement that in any other normal situation would have been accompanied by immediate dismissal.

However, the situation was not normal, and Netanyahu is not allowed to fire Cohen under the new law.

It was Gantz who was supposed to call her to order and explain to her that Sarah could not speak like that in the government.

But he did not.

"Assailants from home"

In fact, Ganz, a gentle and positive man by nature, did not dare to call even once to settle his comrades who did not stop snooping, teasing and attacking the prime minister in which they sit.

More than once he was even dragged after them and joined the automatic attacks and objections, as if they were still in the election campaign against Netanyahu, while sitting in his government.

This is what he did about Avi Nissenkorn's wild and unbridled attacks on Netanyahu.

The prime minister can be blamed for overthrowing the government and disrespecting the agreements, everything will be right.

But it is impossible to absolve the Gantz jointly of full responsibility for this.

He did not control his friends from the first moment.

Nor at the last minute.

His lack of control is the main motive for the disintegration of the government, and of the party.

It will not be easy for Netanyahu to conduct the upcoming election campaign.

The corona is still raging, and the third closure will land here for a few weeks, making names in the Likud campaign.

What is the value of talking about vaccines and peace agreements, when trade closes again, the children are once again stuck in a zoom, and everyone is once again stuck at home, with stress, depression and boredom.

Netanyahu really wanted to remove the blockade from the campaign, and manage it against the background of the final release from the virus with the end of the big vaccination campaign, somewhere in the Independence Day area.

But it came out to him before Pesach.

Borderline and problematic time.

Three critical weeks that can tip the scales here or there.

Netanyahu saw Donald Trump miss Pfizer's announcement of the vaccine news this week, and did everything in his power not to make it happen.

In the coming weeks we will see if he succeeded.

Mission: Find an opponent

Not only because of the Corona, these elections are especially challenging for Netanyahu.

After three elections of indecision, it is not certain that the elections this time will bring with them a different line.

The right-wing bloc, meanwhile, has pretty much disintegrated.

And a demand for rotation seems to be a routine thing for any partner on whom the government will rise and fall.

Netanyahu needs to find an accurate opponent, and when the gap between the Likud and the rest is significant, it will not be easy either.

The challenge of the struggles within the right also calls for a prime ministerial campaign in which he did not try, when two significant parties, Gideon Saar and Naftali Bennett, attacked him from the right, and all this while the left, at least for now, lacks enough space and lack of competition and tension.
