As with any election campaign, new faces are expected to emerge in the near future.

The hottest name is former chief of staff Gabi Izenkot, who is courted by several parties such as Gideon Saar, Yemin, Yesh Atid, Huldai and even Ya'alon, who has already announced that he will be placed second on the list of checks - a matter that has been denied in the Izenkot area.

Another well-known figure who may join is Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai.

After many years of debating whether to enter the political system, this time Huldai intends to leave his office at Kochav Rabin - and run for the Knesset.

He is currently formulating the infrastructure for his party, which includes fundraising and finding possible candidates.

Huldai wants to enter the vacuum of leadership on the left and intends to emphasize his experience in managing local systems, in education, and also his military past as a fighter pilot.

Huldai will try to unite the left-wing bloc - but according to recent polls, a party led by him receives between six and seven seats and does not change the image of the blocs in the political system.

Among the names thrown into the air are new-old faces, MKs who served in the Knesset have left and may return for the upcoming elections, including Ramat Gan Mayor Carmel Shama-Hacohen, who is considered close to Gideon Saar and was mentioned as someone who might join the party. Folkman, a former member of the All of Us party, was mentioned as someone who might join the storm.

Another former MK from all of us, Meirav Ben-Ari, received proposals from Gideon Saar and Meir Lapid.

The name of the mayor of Modiin Maccabim-Reut, Haim Bibbs, was also mentioned as joining the national political arena - but he clarifies that he has not yet decided on the issue and that if he does decide to do so - it will only be through the Likud.

At the same time, in recent days, when the possibility of dissolving the Knesset this week became tangible, Labor Party Chairman Amir Peretz told some of his associates that if that happened, he intended to retire from politics. And the work on the blue and white list, but without success.

Blue and white are not far from the blocking percentage in the polls, and it is hard to believe that a connection with the Labor Party will save it.

Peretz told his interlocutors that in this situation, along with the assumption that he would find it difficult to be elected president, he would probably prefer to retire from politics.

Peretz's office denied the allegations.

Other personalities who may retire from political life are blue-and-white heads, Bnei Gantz and Gabi Ashkenazi.

Sources who spoke with Ganz in recent days said that he sounded depressed and had no desire to continue.

Gabi Ashkenazi, who in recent days has almost completely disappeared from the public landscape, was not interviewed and his voice was not heard during the entire political crisis.
