The fire brigades Ottenhofen, Altenerding and Pastetten had to move out on Tuesday afternoon for an environmental mission.
Ottenhofen - Passers-by had discovered an oil spill on the water shortly after 3 p.m. on the Schwillach behind the hydroelectric power station near Unterschwillach. The fire brigades brought in a fleece that is supposed to bind the hazardous substance. It stays in the river for now to collect more oil. According to the fire brigade, it was only a thin film, but it did not want to tear off. A polluter could not yet be found. The disaster control management group and the water management office were also on site. The damage to Nutur and animals has yet to be determined. ham
