On October 1st last year, the Form 5 student "Jianzi" Zeng Zhijian, who was hit by a live ammunition by the police, was absent from the riot trial today (22nd), and the judge Gao Jinxiu issued an arrest warrant.

The last time the case was brought to court in October, the prosecution alleged that Zeng Zhijian's party intended to plead guilty, and the case was postponed for trial today, during which Zeng Zhijian was allowed to continue bail under the original conditions.

However, the prosecution said that according to police information, Zeng Zhijian had not reported to the police since October 24.

The police went to the defendant to report the address on the 20th, but the search was unsuccessful. The barrister Huang Ruihong who represented Zeng Zhijian also said that he had contacted Zeng Zhijian but failed.

Zeng Zhijian issued a statement through the British organization "Friends of Hong Kong" in the afternoon, saying that confession and imprisonment are not options, and he is currently in exile "living freely."

Going to the

US consulate to seek asylum and being asked to leave,

Zeng Zhijian said in an interview with Apple Daily that he would never

"

surrender himself" and would rather live under the arrest order and flee.

He said that although personal freedom is restricted, he has been prepared to face death with other "comrades" and "continues to speak for freedom," but he did not reveal where he is.

He also revealed that in October this year, he, together with several demonstrators and former "Student Action" Zhong Hanlin, planned to enter the U.S. Consulate General in Hong Kong to seek asylum. However, Zhong Hanlin, who was 10 minutes early, was quickly arrested by the National Security Office. The remaining 4 people were disturbed for half a day and finally successfully entered the consulate.

He pointed out that the U.S. once said that it would take them in, but after everyone successfully arrived at the consulate, the U.S. perfunctorily asked them to leave on the grounds that they were "unable to help."

Zeng Zhijian described his mood as "falling from heaven to hell," and he felt as if he was "betrayed."

Earlier, there were media reports that Zeng Zhijian's 15-year-old girlfriend sought political asylum from the British authorities after arriving in London.
