The General Sewerage Company in Hama has started a project to address sanitation bottlenecks in a number of neighborhoods in Hama, at a cost of 600 million pounds.
Eng. Waheed Al-Youssef, the director of the company, stated in a statement to SANA that the project includes replacing and renewing sewage lines within the neighborhoods of Al-Hamidiya, Ar-Arbaeen, Sheikh Anbar and Al-Zagha Street in Al-Sabuniya neighborhood to address the bottlenecks that used to happen in those neighborhoods, especially in low-lying areas, where work will be done to extend sewage lines And in different diameters, pointing out that the company’s workshops are working on a permanent basis to remove and maintain manholes and rain drains, under a contract concluded with the Hama City Council.
He referred to the projects currently under implementation, the most important of which is the sewage treatment plant in Masyaf, which serves the city of Masyaf, Rubu, Bagraqa, and Bird Joomla and the surrounding farms, with a total cost estimated at 3 billion Syrian pounds, and their mechanical and electrical equipment has been installed, explaining that the production capacity of the station is about 5 thousand cubic meters of water per day and can Utilizing treated water to irrigate agricultural lands.
He added that preparations are underway for the resumption of work at the Suran-Morek station and the Mahrada-Halfaya-Shizar station, with the return of security and stability to the region after its liberation from the abomination of terrorism after work in it stopped 9 years ago.
