National human poetry readings presented by a number of writers and poets of Tartous Governorate at the poetry evening that was held today as part of the activities of the second day of the Nadim Muhammad Festival of Poetry and Criticism, in addition to a critical reading at the end of the evening.

Participating poets and writers confirmed to Sana the importance and stature of the poet Nadim Muhammad and his rich experience, as the poet Lina Hamdan described him as a poet of pain and a man who belongs to the earth, dirt, simplicity and love. Mohammed.

Whereas, the poet Ahmed Hassan, who presented a poem on the occasion, found that Nadim Muhammad is one of the last great poets in Syria, pointing to the importance of the festival as it represents a return to the origins and adults.

Poet Haitham Ali shared two poems, the first entitled “Ataq al-Subh” and the second “Hymns in the Silence of the City,” in which he talked about the value and status of martyrdom and martyrs, stressing that the late poet was biased towards man and represented a cultural stature and an incentive for contemporary poets to give more, hoping them to emulate him.

The poet Bassam Hammouda considered that the festival is a cultural occasion for poets and writers to meet to confirm the continuation of life culturally and socially. He presented a poem that was inspired by reality and revolves around the name of the poet Muhammad, wishing that such stems would remain in the minds of the young generation.

At the end of the evening, the writer Muhy al-Din Muhammad, head of the Arab Writers Union branch in Tartous, gave a critical reading in which he spoke about the political and humanitarian positions of the poet Muhammad, which he embodied in his poetry, indicating that the poetry for the late is a metered rhythmic speech that did not recognize any modern fabric of poetry, especially the poem and prose The traditional poem, with its weight, Al-Aroudi Al-Khalili, praised the festival and the opportunity it offers to study the poetry, humanity and positions of the late.
