Hermetic white boxes, wrapped in plastic and surrounded by a containment rope.

"The Gamaleya National Center -

Sputnik V,

" reads his forehead.

This is the cargo of the Russian vaccine that in the next few hours will disembark in Argentina to start the immunization process against the coronavirus.

The image was published by the official account of Aerolineas Argentinas, the flag company that made the trip to bring the first 300,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to the country.

The Aerolineas Argentinas flight landed at Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport and its return is expected for this Thursday at 10.30.

Between the departure, the loading of the boxes with vaccines and the return to Argentina, the entire operation will range between 35 and 40 hours.

This is how the first shipment of Sputnik V is prepared in Moscow to come to our country.

The plane did not carry passengers, but it cannot be said that it was “empty”, since a crew of 20 people traveled inside it, of which 10 are air pilots.

There are three complete crews of pilots (each one includes a commander and two first officers, or co-pilots) and an extra “back up” pilot is added, explained a source from the sector.

The figure responds to international regulations, which require a change in the driving of the ship every 12 hours.

After landing in Buenos Aires, while the packages are unloaded, verification will be made that the packages agree with what was declared by ANMAT, always

"guaranteeing the cold chain and biosafety conditions," they

said in Customs.

Regarding the cold chain,

Clarín was

able to find out that some special containers from the DHL transport company, called Thermobox, model 02N, are possibly used.

Combined with thermogel bags, these containers are capable of maintaining a temperature of -18 degrees for (says DHL's page) 96 hours.

I mean, four days.

This morning, Cecilia Nicolini, presidential adviser, said: "

The vaccine must be transported in a special way

and we make sure that these details are fulfilled. We want that, when the plane lands, the necessary procedures are carried out to load the vaccine and leave back. We will also be back with the Aerolineas Argentinas plane. "

In dialogue with

Radio Rivadavia

, he added: "Standard clinical trials were carried out. We also have the Anmat, which has a history and is doing its job."
