Donald Trump continues to shock, even the most loyal members of his crumbling cabinet.
To everyone's surprise, the president refuses to sign the new 900 billion aid plan.
In a video tweeted Tuesday evening, he denounces the law that he has yet left to his Secretary of the Treasury, Steven Mnuchin, the task of negotiating with the leaders of Congress.
He qualifies this text as
"shame
", riddled with
"waste and superfluous elements".
And calls for it to be amended to increase the amount of checks from $ 600 to $ 2,000, which are supposed to be sent as early as next week to millions of Americans.
The project includes on the one hand the envelope of 900 billion deemed essential to help businesses and households overcome the crisis.
And it is also incorporated in a massive finance law of 1.4 trillion dollars, aimed at financing the operation of federal agencies until next September.
