The Police Cyber ​​Security and Technology Crime Bureau recorded 10,602 technology crimes from January to October this year, an increase of 96% from the 5,407 cases in the same period last year, and a loss of approximately RMB 2.497 billion.

In the first 10 months of this year, there were 757 cases of nude chat extortion and a loss of 5.6 million yuan. More than 95% of the victims were men, aged between 11 and 65.
