The Civil Affairs Directorate in Al-Hasakah Governorate began printing identity cards today after a five-year hiatus due to the conditions that the governorate experienced.

The Director of Civil Affairs, Faisal Al-Hamoud, stated in a statement to the SANA reporter that the Directorate deported the ID card printer to Damascus in the fifth month of 2015 during the terrorist organization "ISIS" attack on the city of Hasakah, in order to ensure that it did not fall into the hands of terrorist groups and from that date the requests for access are deported. On the ID card organized in the civil registry secretariats in the governorate to Damascus for issuance, which led to the accumulation of citizens' requests for obtaining this card and delay in its arrival.

Al-Hammoud pointed out that the two card printers were transferred from Damascus to Hasaka Governorate by air. The first entered service today and the second needed simple maintenance to enter the service very soon, and work is being done to obtain 250 to 300 personal cards per day and to end the issue of delaying the issuance of cards and the accumulations that were previously occurring.

In turn, the head of the Automation and Issuance Center in the Directorate, Muhammad Jawhar pointed out the importance of entering the printer into service and its role in reducing congestion and speeding up the completion of the requests of the citizens, indicating that the printer is currently in the process of testing and about 50 identity cards are issued and during the coming days, the second printer will be entered into service to increase The numbers of issued cards.

A number of citizen reviewers stressed the importance of putting the two printers in service and speed in completing the process of issuing personal cards, especially since there are some requests that have not been implemented for more than two or three years as a result of correspondence between the two directorates of affairs in the governorates of Hasaka and Damascus and the loss of some papers and the request of the citizens who review to re-complete the required papers. .
