Several residents of Ming Yan Building, Yi Ming Village, Sha Tin were infected with COVID-19 last week. The source of some of them is unknown. The government set up mobile sampling kiosks from the 17th to the 21st to conduct tests for the residents of the building.

At 5:55 this (24th) morning, the government issued a mandatory test announcement, stating that from 6 a.m. this morning, all residents entering and exiting Mingen Building must present the results of the government test last week through a short message or relevant certification.

The Secretary for Home Affairs, Xu Yingwei, said that the provisional announcement stated that the inspection certificate is to be checked because it is not intended that residents who have not undergone the inspection will take the opportunity to leave the building and increase the risk of community outbreaks. The goal of this mandatory inspection is to clear the community.

The Secretary for Home Affairs, Xu Yingwei, said that today, the Shatin District Office, together with the Tin Sum Police Station, the Auxiliary Medical Service, the Hong Kong Housing Society (HS) and relevant departments, carried out enforcement actions for mandatory inspection announcements at Ming Yan Building, Yi Ming Village, Sha Tin. To achieve the effect of community zeroing, "ensure that all residents of Ming En Building are tested, no cases of missing the Internet, do not hope that there will be more communicators in the community."

Xu Yingwei explained that a notice was issued at 5:55 this morning, saying that the test certificate must be checked from 6 a.m. because it is not that residents who have not undergone the test will take the opportunity to leave the building and increase the risk of community outbreaks.

As of 8 o'clock in the morning, more than 400 residents have presented test certificates, and a small number of residents have not yet taken the test or have not received the test certificate.

From 9 am, the government will send retired civil servants to register house by house. If residents are found to have not been tested, they will be taken to nearby mobile sampling booths.

Some citizens participated in the government's mandatory test last week, but they still have not received the test results. Xu Yingwei said that the citizens concerned can leave the building only by mentioning their personal resources and the date of delivery.

At the same time, the Home Affairs Department will set up an enquiry desk near Ming Yan Building to serve people in need, and will also arrange meal delivery services for the elderly.

Resident: Yijia seems chaotic and at a loss

The Secretary for Home Affairs, Xu Yingwei, said that residents who did not receive the test results can find out the results by showing their ID number and the time of delivery. However, Mr. Chen, a resident of Yiming Village, who did not receive the test results, suddenly forced a test on the government. The announcement chanted: "Straight head hastily! It doesn't matter for 10 inspections, Yijia seems to be messy, and the residents are at a loss." On-site personnel said to Chen that "the check on hand did not get (test result)."

When asked about the fact that there is a discrepancy between the actual situation and the director's statement, Mr. Chen said: "No comment, the director has the director's explanation."

"I have something to do, spit and spit my throat." Resident Mr. Wu received a negative test result, but the counter outside the building did not ask him to show the test result message: "Xu Yingwei, I'm cooperating. Look." He pointed out that only an ID card is required to enter.
