The activities of the Nadim Muhammad Festival for Poetry and Criticism were concluded today, which was hosted by the Arab Cultural Center in Tartous Hall for three days, with the participation of poets and critics.
The festival, which was organized by the Directorate of Tartous Culture on its last day, included a poetry evening and a critical reading of the experience and style of the late poet and his role in enriching the contemporary poetic movement.
The poet Muhammad Yunus read a number of sentimental poems from his last collection of poems, “Maqamat,” describing Nadim Muhammad as the hallmark and distinguishing mark in poetry.
While the poet Linda Ibrahim participated in two poems about poetry and the homeland, saying that the festival is a beautiful demonstration to remind the great late one a quarter of a century after his departure.
Poet Osama Mihoub recited a bouquet of emotional poems about nature, love and human feelings, while the poet Saleh Salman chose to present a group of poems on the tongue of a female related to love and life with a mystical tinge, stressing the importance of the festival as it reminds us of the creations of those who have left and their effects remained immortal and collects a number of poets In a cultural encounter while giving way to young creations.
Poet Ghassan Wanous read some of the texts of his latest collection, which will be issued soon, which simulates the destinies of creatures in the past, present and future, considering the festival an important cultural activity at this stage to find out a prominent figure in the cultural milieu.
Salah al-Din Yunus presented a critical reading in the poetry, style and experience of Nadim Muhammad, who went out of the ordinary according to his opinion through the special image he created in the poetic movement in general.
