On permanent contract but without pay, these Roissy agents write to Emmanuel Macron

While the airport sector is already doing badly, airport security officers find themselves without any pay because of an imb

"We are left completely abandoned ..." For some fifty airport security officers at Roissy, the end of the year celebrations have a very bitter taste.

These employees, however, on permanent contracts have found themselves without a salary for over a month, and without any means either to work or to register with Pôle emploi.

Desperate, they have just written this Wednesday to the Ministers of Labor, Transport and even the President of the Republic to try to alert them to their fate.

Originally, a transfer between Seris and Securitas

This ubiquitous situation appeared thanks to a “conventional transfer”.

A common practice on airport platforms: contracts are entrusted to service companies for a certain number of years.

At the end of this deadline, a new call for tenders is made and if a different company becomes the holder of the contract, it takes over the employees by means of a contract transfer.

In this case, the agents concerned all work in the field of safety and security on the Air France Cargo and Air France industries sites, on behalf of the company Seris.

But the latter lost the market.

On October 30, the Securitas group legally resumed services in this part of the airport cargo area.

54 employees not transferred, but no longer in the workforce of their former company

Of the 200 or so employees taking on this task, 54 were considered "non-transferable" for various reasons.

Either because they had refused the transfer themselves, or because they were on sick or maternity leave at the time of the transfer.

These agents on permanent contracts were therefore supposed to remain in the bosom of Seris.

In this case, the employer has the possibility of reclassifying them by entrusting them with another mission within the group, or of offering them a contractual termination.

Roissy Airport: the great concern of the employees of the platform

“Until November 20, we waited for a reclassification or training proposal,” says Ferouze, a 37-year-old Val-d'Oisienne.

And then we received a letter telling us that we were no longer employees of Seris.

That our employer was Securitas.

“Except that the employment contracts of these 54 agents are not part of the transfer made.

And that Securitas tells them that they are not in their workforce.

“We haven't had a salary since November 20.

And we cannot even go to register with Pôle emploi to look for something else because we do not have any account balances, it is dramatic, ”deplores Ferouze.

Unable to register for Pôle emploi

Martine, her colleague site manager, also finds herself in a delicate situation.

“I refused the transfer because with the contract that was offered to me, I was losing 7,000 euros gross per year.

Seris started talking to me orally about conventional breakup.

I was going to give them my answer the day I got back from vacation in November, but I didn't even have time.

I was told that I was no longer part of the company… It was a shock.

»Martine has been working on the airport platform for many years.

“Conventional transfers, I'm used to it though.

But I have never seen this!

"

Among the agents left behind, around thirty are currently on maternity and sick leave or on leave following an accident at work.

“I have never seen a situation like this!

», Confirms Céline Mezned elected (CFDT) to the central social and economic council (CSE) of Seris.

"Throwing people out like that just before the holidays is a shame!"

The union intends to file a summary appeal against the company to defend the rights of airport security officers.

"I have nothing more and there is rent and electricity to pay"

In the meantime, employees are preparing for a very gray Christmas.

“I can't even please my children, we have a very, very tight budget, I can't afford the credit to pay… confides Ferouze.

And the Christmas dinner will be a normal meal this year.

Martine, who lives in the Oise, also has a stomach ache when looking at her accounts.

“In November, I received 486 euros from Seris, it is not even the RSA… And in December I am not likely to touch anything.

I have nothing left and there is rent and electricity to pay.

"

The CFDT delegate, for her part, does not hide her concern.

“I see some employees who are sinking into depression, they are in the red financially… Among the agents concerned there are single women with children.

I even know someone who told me about suicide.
