The Superclásico between Boca and River for the Championship Phase of the Diego Maradona Cup was finally scheduled for Saturday, January 2 from 9:30 p.m. in La Bombonera.

Once Boca's qualification for the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores was finalized after the victory over Racing, coach Miguel Ángel Russo asked that the match against River for the local tournament - originally scheduled for January 3 - be brought forward .

Marcelo Gallardo's team had already suggested the advance of the game and even television thought that it would be played on December 30.

However, the AFA Professional Soccer League announced this Thursday the Maradona Cup classic for January 2.

The "Super" will be the prelude to the semifinals of the Libertadores for both teams, so it

is likely that they will put a majority of substitutes

even if they are leaders in the area.
