The Homs Workers Club team crowned the Corporate Football League championship organized by the Homs Workers' Union in cooperation with the Sports Federation branch in the governorate, after its victory over the Homs refinery by eight for six goals.
The head of the Homs Workers' Union, Hafez Khosr, in his statement to the SANA sports correspondent, indicated the interest that the General Sports Federation attaches to activating the sports aspect among the workers, noting the enthusiastic and competitive atmosphere that prevailed in the tournament.
In turn, the head of the Homs Sports Federation branch, Faisal Al-Derby, explained that such activities are of great importance, indicating that sport is a civilized social and cultural condition, and we seek to coordinate with the General Sports Federation to establish a central workers' championship in Homs Governorate.
Twelve teams participated in the tournament, which was launched at the beginning of this month, representing workers' clubs, Homs Refinery, Personal Status, Electricity Company, Al-Uruba Newspaper, GTS, networks, Homs Sugar Company, Education Directorate, Tourism Directorate, Al-Baath University and Fertilizers.
