Hama-sana
Our national weightlifting team coach Muhammad Rashha said that honoring distinguished players who achieve good results in foreign tournaments is one of the most important steps in developing the game in Syria.
In a statement to the SANA sports reporter, Rachha explained that the results achieved by our national team in the recent Asian Youth Championship in Uzbekistan were very positive compared to the short preparation period and the lack of the lifters and quadrants submitting to any external camp, indicating that the love of the game and the desire to achieve victory and raise the flag of the homeland was an important factor. For the players to provide distinguished performance and compete for advanced positions despite the presence of strong teams competing for titles in various world championships and Olympics.
Rashha pointed to the need to honor all the players who participated in the recent Asian Championship to motivate them to achieve better results in future tournaments, indicating that the Game Federation and the General Sports Federation have provided a lot of material and moral support to our national teams with the game according to the available capabilities, so we call on Hama to honor these players. In a decent manner, as it does with other sports.
Our national youth team player, Laith Al-Hakim, won a silver and a bronze medal in a weight of over 105 kg, while Mary Jaghili ranked fourth in the young women's category and broke three Syrian records of her weight.
