With the participation of 43 artists belonging to different generations and schools of art, Al-Bassel Gallery for Exhibitions hosted an art exhibition of the Fine Artists Union branch in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture in Lattakia within the activities of the Syrian Art Days.

The exhibition combined works by veteran artists who have experience and technology with the experiences of young artists, which varied between painting with a multiplicity of techniques between oil, acrylic, graphics and sculpture, which formed wood and stone the two main materials in the participating sculptures.

Head of the Plastic Artists Union branch in Lattakia, Farid Raslan, explained in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the exhibition includes works from various schools between Realism, Expressionism and Abstract, considering that the diversity in the level of experiences presented serves the development of the plastic art movement in the governorate and creates a state of dialogue between artists and the audience.

For his part, the sculptor Muhammad Ba'ajano considered that group exhibitions are distinguished by their ability to achieve a state of communication between the participating artists in addition to encouraging them to participate in new works always, so that the rest of the artists are informed of the different experiences and the extent of their development.

The plastic artist and teacher at the Plastic Arts Center, Abdullah Khaddam, noted the importance of the effectiveness of the days of plastic art because it gives impetus to the plastic movement in the province, especially through group exhibitions, where different experiences from expressionism to hyper-realism converge with recording, surrealism and others, which allows the artist to review the privacy of his works and distinguish him from others.

The plastic artist, Bassam Nasser, and the participant with a work that symbolizes the Syrian woman in ancient civilizations, considered that the existence of these activities embodies the permanent presence of art in our country despite all the circumstances and the nobility of our civilization and our culture and its ability to excel.
