As part of the "We Want To Build It" initiative, implemented by the Student Union branch in Al-Hasakah Governorate, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program, this evening the Christmas tree was lit in Samara Square in the city of Hasakah, and the unveiling of the "I Love Hasakah" model was revealed.

The launch of the initiative was also accompanied by the implementation of a campaign to decorate Al-Mahatta Street by painting the sidewalks and walls of houses with colors and drawings, in addition to decorating road bisections trees.

The head of the Student Union branch, Alaa Al-Talaa, stated in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the initiative comes to emphasize the role of youth in building the homeland and express their eagerness to show the city of Hasakah with a civilized and beautiful appearance through the implementation of various activities.

In turn, a member of the Union branch leadership, Hanin Al-Mutlaq, explained that the atmosphere of joy prevailed over the place, and the young people of Al-Hasakah participated in lighting the Christmas tree and the aspirations were united on this night so that peace and joy prevail throughout Syria during the new year.

A number of families expressed their joy at what the youth had accomplished and their eagerness to spread the atmosphere of happiness and joy in the souls, and their serious work to show the aesthetic of the city of Hasakah and their hope that the new year would carry the signs of joy, security and stability and that the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army and our people would triumph over the forces of aggression and occupation.
