A man who said he was
"guided by God the Catholic"
, suspected of having killed two passers-by and seriously injured a third in mid-November in Cholet, Maine-et-Loire, was indicted and imprisoned on Friday, December 25.

The 35-year-old, who had been hospitalized under duress for a year until last summer, admitted the facts in police custody.
He was then hospitalized again under duress.
On November 14, he had passed two elderly people, a little away from the center of Cholet.

The 82-year-old man will die while the 81-year-old woman is seriously injured.

The suspect was indicted on December 3 for aggravated murder and aggravated attempted murder, and then taken into custody.
He faces life imprisonment.
He said he had worked as a salesperson in Cholet a few years ago and had
suffered
a "
burnout
".
The three victims have no connection to the suspect, according to investigators.
