Today, Europe recorded more than 25 million cases of the emerging coronavirus, according to a census conducted by AFP based on data from local health authorities.

According to the same census, the European region, which includes 52 countries and reaches the east, which includes Azerbaijan and Russia, is the most affected in the world in terms of the number of HIV infections, followed by the United States and Canada with 19,188,172 cases, Latin America and the Caribbean 15024469, Asia 13617004, the Middle East 53039, Africa 2599658 and Oceania 30885.

Since the beginning of last October, Europe has become the region that records the largest daily number of injuries in the world, and last week it counted an average of 250,000 injuries per day.

Among the countries that have witnessed an exceptional increase in the number of injuries in the last seven days, Britain, which recorded a 49 percent increase compared to last week, registering 160,877 new injuries.

And according to the population, the Czech Republic is the country most affected among the countries that recorded more than a thousand daily injuries during the past seven days, and the country is 621 injuries out of every million people, followed by Georgia and Belgium with 548 injuries per million people.

Europe is the first region to cross the threshold of half a million deaths on December 17, as the old continent today counted 540,647 deaths, followed by Latin America and the Caribbean 493837, the United States and Canada 343789, then Asia 214,302 deaths, the Middle East 88246 and Oceania 944.

In total, nearly eighty million cases of corona were officially recorded in the world, including more than 1.7 million deaths since the start of the epidemic a year ago.
