The Observatory predicts that an easterly airstream will bring warmer weather during the weekend and early next week. However, a cold front will cross southern China next Tuesday (29th). There will be a few rain patches in the area, affected by the subsequent strong cold wave. The temperature will drop significantly and the wind will be quite strong. Among them, the weather will be cold on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, and the New Territories and highlands will see severe cold sooner or later.

According to the Observatory’s nine-day weather forecast, the weather will remain warm this weekend to early next week. Until next Tuesday (29th), the highest temperature in the city will reach 20 degrees Celsius or above, but there will be one or two rain showers on Saturday and next Tuesday.

By next Wednesday, the weather will be significantly cooler, and the minimum temperature will plummet to 11 degrees, down 6 degrees on a daily basis.
