President Bashar Al-Assad congratulated the members of the Christian denominations on the occasion of the glorious Christmas ... the birth of Christ, the Messenger of love and peace, and congratulated the heads of Christian sects in the name of His Excellency Mansour Azzam, Minister of Presidential Affairs.
Minister Azzam conveyed the congratulations of President Al-Assad to His Beatitude Patriarch Youhanna X Yazji, Patriarch of Antioch and the rest of the East for the Greek Orthodox, and His Holiness, Patriarch Mar Ignatius Avram II, Patriarch of Antioch and all of the East, the supreme head of the Syriac Orthodox Church in the world, to Patriarch Yusef al-Absi, Patriarch of Antioch and the rest of the East, to the Greek Orthodox Church. Youhanna Jihad Battah, Archbishop of Damascus for the Syriac Catholics, to Archbishop Yosef Arnaouti, Archbishop of Damascus for the Armenian Catholics, and to the members of their honorable sects.
Minister Azzam also conveyed the congratulations of President Al-Assad to the priest Boutros Zaour, head of the Evangelical Synod in Syria and Lebanon, the spiritual head of the National Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Damascus, Bishop Samir Nassar, Archbishop of the Maronite Archdiocese of Damascus, to Father Bahjat Gargash, head of the Latin Monastery in Damascus, and to Father Malik Malus, pastor of the Chaldean Church in Damascus, and to the children Their generous sects.
