Moscow-SANA The Russian Foreign Ministry renewed its assertion that the Israeli attacks on the Syrian territories are strengthened

Moscow-Sana

The Russian Foreign Ministry reiterated that the Israeli attacks on the Syrian territories undermine stability in the region.

The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said during a press briefing today that Russia “has never hidden its opposition to the Israeli raids on Syria, as they contribute to undermining the stability of the region,” reaffirming the need to respect Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The air defense media in the Syrian Arab Army responded at dawn today to an Israeli aggression, through a barrage of missiles towards the Masyaf area in Hama countryside, and most of the enemy missiles were dropped.

In addition, Zakharova denounced the Israeli occupation government's decision to summon the Russian ambassador to the occupation entity, Anatoly Viktorov, stressing that his recent statements coincide with the well-known Russian positions on Middle East issues.

Zakharova said that the Israeli reaction to the Russian ambassador’s remarks calls for Moscow’s astonishment, stressing the firm Russian position that the Palestinian issue was and remains a central issue for peace in the Middle East, and it is not possible to achieve long-term, sustainable regional stability without resolving it.

Ambassador Viktorov had recently confirmed that the failure to reach a solution to the Palestinian issue is the biggest factor in destabilizing the region.
