A 40-year-old cyclist was killed today (Saturday) by a car on Road 461 near Mesubim Junction.

The victim, a foreign national, was killed on the spot and medical teams who arrived at the scene of the accident were forced to determine his death shortly after, following the resuscitation operations performed on him.

In another incident in the Golan Heights, a car driver lost consciousness while driving and committed a self-inflicted accident.

He was rushed to Poria Hospital in critical condition, but was not injured in the accident itself, but as a result of the medical incident.



Magen David Adom paramedics arrive at the scene of the accident on Route 461 found the cyclist when he is lifeless and began to resuscitate him, but was unable to stabilize his condition.



"When we got there we saw on the road electric bikes are broken and nearby lay a man of about 40 unconscious, with injuries "A very difficult head," testified MDA medic Issachar Weiss and MDA paramedic Gal Grander. "We performed medical tests, he was without signs of life and we have no choice but to determine his death."

He noted that "the bike was smashed".

He also described the damage to the vehicle as "severe".



In another incident, earlier today, a 40-year-old man lost consciousness while driving in the Golan Heights, resulting in a self-inflicted accident.

The driver was not injured in the accident, but his medical condition was critical.

The MDA team that arrived at the scene provided him with medical treatment and performed prolonged resuscitation operations, in which he was taken to Poria Hospital in the Galilee.
