At about 11 am today (26th), a family dispute occurred in a unit on the ground floor of Hang Shan Court, 9 Ko Shan Road, Hung Hom. It is reported that a couple in the unit had a dispute over relationship issues.
The 61-year-old man surnamed Chen attacked his wife and children with a hard object and exploded multiple glass windows.
When the security guard heard the news, he rushed to stop him, but he was injured by the other party. Someone called the police for help.
Police officers arrived at the scene and found that the 57-year-old wife Chen had a hand injury, his 30-year-old son had an eye injury, and a 74-year-old male security guard surnamed Zhang had a foot injury. Three people were awake and sent to hospital for treatment.
The police arrested the 61-year-old man surnamed Chen on the spot. He was taken away with a black cloth head. He was arrested on suspicion of wounding, assault causing actual bodily harm (AOABH) and criminal damage. The case is referred to the Kowloon City Police District for criminal investigation Team 6 followed up.
Police officers blocked off the scene for investigation. Several windows of the unit were exploded. There were broken glass, a long iron bridge and a broken stool on the ground.
