Ahmet Davutoglu, head of the Future Party, the former prime minister of the Turkish regime, confirmed that the president of the regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is "the real conspirator against Turkey and its people," noting that the economic policies pursued by the latter over the past years have brought Turkey into a stifling crisis.
The Turkish Zaman newspaper quoted Davutoglu as saying during his meeting with officials in his party that "the decisions of the Turkish Central Bank to raise interest rates recently have nothing to do with preparing the Turkish economy, but rather is a bitter harvest of the disastrous economic policies followed during the last four years."
Davutoglu explained that at a time when all countries of the world reduce interest rates due to the repercussions of the Corona crisis, the Turkish Central Bank raises them, indicating that the interest rate in Turkey has been raised by 675 points during the past two months.
The Turkish currency continues to deteriorate due to the deteriorating political and economic conditions in the country as a result of Erdogan's policies and repressive measures that led to a decline in tourism and investments and a decrease in the country's foreign exchange earnings.
