Today, Iraqi forces dismantled a terrorist cell consisting of four that had planned to carry out a terrorist bombing in the capital, Baghdad, during the Christmas period.
The Iraqi Alsumaria News website quoted the National Security Agency as saying in a statement that “As a result of the intensification of the intelligence effort and the continuation of the joints of the National Security Agency in boycotting the information, the detachments of the agency in the governorates of Salah al-Din and Diyala managed to dismantle a terrorist cell belonging to the so-called Diyala sector and arrest its four members, including a suicide bomber. He plans to blow himself up during the New Year holidays in Baghdad, ”indicating that the members of the cell who were arrested confessed to receiving instructions to destabilize and cause a security breach in the capital during the holidays.
The day before yesterday, Iraqi forces arrested 13 ISIS terrorists and seized 46 rockets in Anbar Province, western Iraq.
