A search for clues.

Oberding

- Is there a part of the municipality of Oberding that you can only find if you follow a white rabbit?

In our report on the presentation as a replacement for the citizens' meeting in Oberding, there was at least talk of an airport district with 97 inhabitants.

Curious: this part of the community is not listed on the community website, nor is there a settlement or village near the airport that could be identical to this place on maps.

When asked by our newspaper, VG managing director Josef Steinkirchner explains: “This is a makeshift solution in our software.

People who are registered at the Hilton Hotel at the airport (which is located on Oberdinger Flur, editor's note) are assigned to this district. “So this district does not actually exist.

The airport residents are mostly foreigners.

Steinkirchner: "According to German registration law, you have to register after a certain length of stay." These are, for example, the employees of the Thai king, who partly lives on Lake Starnberg.

“We did it that way because it was the best solution.

We could have included the people in the Oberding district, but that wouldn't be entirely correct, they don't live in Oberding, ”Steinkirchner continues.

It is probably of no use to chase rabbits through the Oberdinger Land.
