Unknown individuals set fire to two fir trees outside churches in Sakhnin last night (Saturday), a spokesman for the city's Catholic Church said.
According to the report, the suspects set fire to the tree near the Catholic church, around 3am, and then set fire to another tree in front of the Orthodox Church building in the city.
The events took place on the night after Christmas.
A spokesman for the church, Wadia Abu Nassar, called on security forces to act to locate the attackers.
"I call on the security services to act on these incidents as terrorist incidents and make every effort to reach the suspects and prosecute them as soon as possible," he said.
According to him, it is possible that these are ISIS operatives.
