The general closure on Israel came into effect tonight (Sunday), for the third time since the outbreak of the corona, and business owners across the country warn that the economic situation they have found themselves in will lead to their collapse.

Merchants in markets, street shops and shopping centers have in recent days tried to sell as much merchandise as possible, and prepare for the coming period in which they will be forced to shut down businesses.

Some warn that the situation leaves no choice but to open up, while others hope the restrictions and vaccines will lead to an end to the morbidity.

With the entry into force of the restrictions, the mayor of Ramat Gan Carmel Shama HaCohen announced that businesses that sell food at the takeaway will not be enforced in the city.

This is in contrast to the government's decision to ban the service and allow only food sales in shipments.

In a Facebook post, the mayor wrote that "among the residents there is support of over 95% of the experts' position. Corona morbidity in the city has been steadily declining in the last two weeks and some small businesses are on the verge of collapse. Tonight I decided to instruct Corona is like a group of business people. "

Yossi, who owns a clothing store in the Carmel market, said that it is important to close, the results of which, along with the vaccination campaign, will ultimately have a positive effect.

"I have a hard time with it but need a closure, no money. The minuses in the banks will increase, a lot of loans, a lot of help from the family."

He said his financial situation leaves him no choice and he will try to open the store in the hope that he will not be caught.

"I'm going to open up, try not to get caught. There's no choice. We'll have to find a way to make money, I have kids at home. I'm stuck with a lot of full, and I know I'm stuck.

Yossi said he trusted the government's conduct, but the markets had to be excluded.

"Hopefully we get out of this as soon as possible, I'm optimistic. Hopefully everyone gets vaccinated as soon as possible. I quite trust the government's conduct, but I think they make a mistake with the market not leaving it open because we are in the open air."

Rina Sassi owns a besta called "The Pickle Center" in the market.

She is disappointed and fails to understand the government’s decision to close the market in a shutdown.

The goods, the fresh olives from the wide variety of food she will have to donate to the needy, as she did in the previous two closures.

"It's sad. Once again going back to the same situation that everything is abandoned, I have nothing to do with the olives I have in quantities. There is a delicacy here that will come to take immediately. "Worse than the economic thing. It's destruction, very difficult. They say close and we close, but we don't get money."

Towards 17:00, the time set for the official entry into force of the closure, at the Big Pardes Hanna mall, there was a traffic jam of cars seeking to get out.

The same is true of the nearby road from Pardes Hanna-Karkur in the direction of Binyamina-Givat Ada, which was crowded with the cars of those who made their way home to the nearby settlements.

Hadar Glicksman, a 28-year-old resident of Pardes Hanna, the manager of the "B Good" store, was forced to reject buyers who arrived in the last minutes before the closure.

"Get out because I do not want to snatch 5,000 shekels again," she called to them before locking the doors.

"The feeling really sucks towards both customers and employees," she said.

"23 people make a living here and everyone needs the job. Everyone has their own portfolio, there is rent, there are mortgages, there are expenses for children and a car. It is not easy to take everyone out to the hospital." Muhammad Agbaria, 46 and a father of three "The closure is killing us even though we remain open as a vital business," he said, "from 5pm we are only allowed four shoppers in this large store."

The government's decision to restrict business includes the closure of malls, markets and museums, drive-in complexes for watching movies, and the abolition of the possibility of self-collection from restaurants.

Businesses that do not receive an audience will operate in a 50% format, the crowd in which will be limited to ten people in a closed and closed space and 20 in an open space.

Public and business places were closed, except for essential stores in the areas of food, pharmacies, hygiene, optics, electrical appliances and products needed for essential repairs in the home.

In addition, the opening of non-medical care places, including hairdressers and beauty salons and cosmetics, and complementary medicine clinics will be banned.

Sophie Cherkov, who owns a family art studio in Givatayim, spoke about the consequences of the closure on her business. "We do not do lessons in zoom, if it is sculpture it is three-dimensional. Not everything goes through the screen. In the first closure, everything was closed. It was impossible to teach lessons in the studio, we started selling art equipment and running the website. Corona, we set up an online store a little before Corona and then started working on our website with great effort

. A lot of students canceled and whoever continued so we continued the classes into the summer. We are really optimistic and hope for the best, but if the closure lasts a few months, we will collapse. The first closure has already given us a serious blow, "she said.
