Is Israel cooperating with Saudi Arabia in formulating a plan to assassinate a Hezbollah leader?

At least according to the organization's secretary general, Hassan Nasrallah. In an interview with the Lebanese satellite news network Al-Miyadin, known for its proximity to Hezbollah, he said that Hezbollah's intelligence services had gathered evidence that Saudi Arabia was working with Israel to eliminate Hezbollah. The Houthis, against whom Saudi Arabia is fighting in Yemen.

"We have data that Saudi Arabia has been inciting for its elimination for a long time and at least since the war in Yemen.

"Injury to Hezbollah leaders is a common goal for Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United States," Nasrallah told interviewers.

He added that from the information in Hezbollah's possession, Riyadh had approached Washington and sought the support of the Americans for Saudi Arabia's request from Israel to carry out the plan to assassinate Nasrallah;

"The Americans agreed to the Saudi request to eliminate me and for Israel to do so," the secretary general said in an interview. It should be noted that in recent days the Lebanese media reported that Nasrallah was expected to raise concerns in Hezbollah that senior members of the organization, including Nasrallah himself, had been targeted. The alliance formed between Israel and the Sunni Arab states and the Persian Gulf states, and the growing involvement of Shiite Hezbollah in conflicts in Arab countries in the Middle East.

According to reports in Lebanon, senior security officials in the country and senior Hezbollah officials in particular have grave concerns about the possibility of security tensions with Israel due to various reports in the Arab media that Israel will attack Lebanon in order to harm senior Hezbollah figures and even try to eliminate Nasrallah.

Reports in Lebanon allege that the Israeli media frequently quotes senior officials who allegedly express themselves regarding the whereabouts of Hezbollah's secretary general, his movements and agenda, and the need to assassinate him.
