A supermarket employee pursues a fleeing shoplifter and finally calls the police.
The 45-year-old alleged perpetrator denies everything.
The police are looking for witnesses.
Weßling - A 45 year old man from Munich tried himself as a shoplifter in Weßling on Christmas Eve.
At around 11.20 a.m. he waited at the cash register in a supermarket on Schulstrasse to pay for a bottle of schnapps.
"He was carrying an obviously heavily filled shopping bag with him, which prompted an employee of the store to carry out a bag check," reports a spokesman for the Herrsching police.
However, the 45-year-old did not want to be checked, instead he ran out of the store with his bag and left his goods on the conveyor belt.
An employee chased the fugitive, who disappeared into a house only a short distance away.
The employee now waited in front of the building until the notified police were at the scene.
When the officers confronted the 45-year-old with allegations of shoplifting, the man initially denied everything.
"The fact that he had not appeared before the police could also be quickly refuted - he has already been caught shoplifting several times," explains the spokesman.
PI Herrsching asks witnesses of the incident in the supermarket to report: (0 81 52) 9 30 20.
