Throughout the year 2020, the Syrian courts continued their judicial work with strict enforcement of laws within the framework of realizing the utmost importance that is in the supreme national interest and prosecuting the perpetrators of electronic crimes and crimes of dealing in non-Syrian pounds and trading in subsidized materials to reduce the criminal phenomena related to the exploitation of citizens in terms of manipulating their basic needs.

The judicial duties of the courts concerned with following up the cases related to the aforementioned crimes, including the Court of First Instance of Penalties and Appeals and the Financial Investigation Department, where the Ministry of Justice clarified in its data, which SANA received a copy of, that the First Instance Criminal Court in Damascus has registered 419 cases for the offense of trafficking in subsidized materials since the beginning of this year, while it has been recorded. The number of cyber crime cases reached 744, including 497 cases.

In the countryside of Damascus, the number of seizures in crimes of trafficking in subsidized materials reached 283, while the number of detention centers reached 20 persons. The Financial Investigation Department in Damascus countryside recorded 26 cases related to dealing in non-Syrian pounds and 46 detainees. The Cybercrime Court also recorded 23 ongoing cases, 21 separate cases and 343 pending cases. Registered with the Court of First Instance for Electronic Crimes, Chapter 146 cases.

In Daraa, its courts recorded 20 officers for the crime of dealing in a non-currency transaction, and 85 officers for the crimes of trafficking in subsidized materials, and 15 people were arrested.

With regard to electronic crimes, 86 cases were recorded, of which 40 were divided between the Informatics Investigation Court, 18 of them, 14, and the beginning of the penalty, 62, of which 20, and the appeal of malomatia misdemeanor 6, were all settled.

As-Suwayda courts recorded 7 cases for non-pound dealing crimes, 3 cases were distributed in the investigation department, 3 in the criminal court of first instance and one case in the Shahba investigation department, and the number of cases for crimes of trading in subsidized materials reached 101 cases, 67 of which were in the first supply court, 10 cases in the Tamween Appeals Court and 23 cases. The number of cases in Aleppo courts in cybercrime cases reached 566 cases, which were distributed between 370 in the Criminal Court of First Instance, 39 in the Criminal Appeals Court and 152 in the Ninth Investigation Department, of which 321 were separated from the Court of First Instance 233, the Criminal Appeal Court 20 and the Ninth Investigation Department 68, while the number of related seizures reached The crimes of dealing in other than the Syrian pound were 199, and the crimes of trafficking in subsidized materials were 96, and 167 people were arrested.

In the Lattakia courts, the number of cases in non-pound dealing crimes reached 5 cases, while the number of cases for crimes of trading in subsidized materials reached 209, and the courts registered 49 cases in the courts of electronic crimes. The Tartous courts also recorded 77 cases in dealing in non-pound transactions and 42 cases separated, of which 30 were in the trade in subsidized materials. The Tartous Referral Court registered 26 cases and 62 cases distributed in the courts of Al-Qadmous, Sheikh Badr, Al-Dreikish, Safita and Baniyas.

Regarding the number of cases in the cybercrime courts, the Tartous Investigation Circuit Court recorded 138 cases, of which 95 were separated, and in the Misdemeanor Appeals Court 4 cases dismissed, 2 of them at the beginning of the informational penalty 151 cases, of which 53 cases were dismissed, while the Tartous Referral Court recorded 19 cases, of which 4 were dismissed, and in the Qadamous Courts 17 separate cases Of which 12 are Sheikh Badr, 13 chapters of which are 7, Ad Draikish has 57 chapters, 17 of which are Safita, 65 chapters of which are 21, and Baniyas 18 chapters of which 12

With regard to crimes other than the Syrian pound, the Tartous Investigation Department recorded 23 crimes, and in the Criminal Court 3 and referral 2 and in the Baniyas 2 courts.

In Homs, the total number of seizures related to the crime of trading in subsidized materials reached 152 officers and 18 detainees, divided between 52 officers before the Financial Investigation Judge, 18 detainees, 50 officers before the First Supply Court and 50 before the Second Supply Court. The number of cases registered with the Homs Governorate Courts related to electronic crimes reached 285 cases. Separated, 136 cases were divided into 115 cases before the Informatics Investigation Department, 43 cases were dismissed, and 170 cases before the Informatics Court of First Instance, 93 cases were dismissed.

With regard to crimes other than the pound, 4 are seized, 3 of them before the financial investigation judge and 1 before the juvenile investigation judge.

Hama courts recorded 20 officers in crimes of dealing in non-Syrian pounds and 93 officers related to trading in supported materials, while cybercrime cases recorded 131 cases.

In Deir Ezzor, the number of seizures related to dealing other than the Syrian Pound was 5, and in cases related to electronic crimes 4, chapter 1, related to trading in subsidized materials, 107, and the number of detention centers 30.

In Hasaka, the number of seizures related to trading in subsidized materials reached 2, one separated and the other under consideration, and the number of seizures in the Court of First Instance for electronic crimes was 11.
