The election campaign has only just begun, but behind the scenes the battle for the day after - the coalition train - has already broken out.

Those who may be the decisive factor regarding the identity of the prime minister are the ultra-Orthodox parties.

The ultra-Orthodox political representatives from Shas and Torah Judaism officially declare that they stand by Netanyahu's side, but cracks are already appearing in the ultra-Orthodox position, with Netanyahu not facing Yair Lapid or another secular party this time - but the traditional Gideon Saar and the religious Zeev Elkin.

Netanyahu and Saar are already looking at the day after the election and are already working on it today.

Yesterday, Netanyahu summoned MK Moshe Gafni, Yaakov Litzman and Aryeh Deri in an attempt to re-establish the right-wing bloc, with the Likud, Torah Judaism and Shas as a start, in the hope that Bennett, despite his statements, will join later.

At the same time, Gideon Saar does not let go of the ultra-Orthodox and maintains continuous contact with them.

He also spoke with Gaffney this past weekend to tighten ties.

Despite the election period, Gafni refuses to be interviewed at the moment, so as not to get entangled in the expected question.

On the other hand, his party members are already discovering cracks in the Netanyahu-Haredi bloc.

Yesterday, MK Yitzhak Pindros said in an interview with Kol Barama radio: "If Gideon Saar comes to us with 45 seats and Torah Judaism and Shas complete the government, compared to Netanyahu who comes with 10 seats - you know what will happen. If Netanyahu has no chance of forming a coalition and Gideon Saar There is a chance, of course the consideration is different. "

The Deputy Minister of Transportation, Uri Maklev, was also asked about the issue yesterday and said on Kol Chai radio: "Saar is not wrong, but every effort will be made not to reach the question of supporting him. We will support Netanyahu as much as he can form a government. .

However, he stressed: "Gideon Saar is not in the group we are disqualifying."

Dispute over the Finance Committee

Meanwhile, within Torah Judaism there is a fierce debate these days.

The faction consists of the Lithuanian Torah Flag Party led by Gafni and the Hassidic Agudat Israel party led by Litzman.

There is an agreement between the parties according to which in each term the two change the chairmanship of the party, and at the same time the positions change, with one gaining the position of minister and the other the position of chairman of the coveted finance committee.

Since the formation of the government, Litzman has been the party's chairman and Gafni in the finance committee. Now they are to be replaced - but Gafni does not agree to give up the coveted position. According to Gafni, because the Knesset disbanded and did not complete its term - his position has been cut and he wants to continue. Agreement between the parties, and that they will be required to fulfill it as worded.
