The Transport Department reminded the public that the Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Tunnel (new tunnel) was opened to traffic at 8 am on December 27. Motorists can use the new tunnel to travel between Northwest New Territories and North Lantau.

In addition, starting from the first bus today (28th), six franchised bus routes between North Lantau and Northwest New Territories operated by Long Win Bus Company Limited (Long Win), including Route A33 (Tuen Mun Highway Interchange Station-Airport ( Ground Transportation Center), Line A33X (Tuen Mun (Fu Tai)-Airport (Ground Transportation Center)), Line A34 (Hung Shui Kiu (Hong Yuan Road)-Airport (Ground Transportation Center)), No. E33 Line (Tuen Mun City Center-Airport (Ground Transportation Center)), Line E33P (Siu Hong Station (South)-Airport (Ground Transportation Center)) and Line NA33 (Tuen Mun (Fu Tai)-Airport (Cathay Pacific City) )), all will change to pass through the new tunnel and stop at the Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Tunnel Bus Interchange Station.

The six bus routes mentioned above will not pass through the Lantau Link after being rerouted, and passengers will not be able to transfer at the Lantau Link bus station.

At the same time, some existing routes or waiting stations will be changed. Passengers should pay attention to bus route diversions and related bus transfer arrangements as soon as possible, and plan their journeys in advance.
