The end of the affair:

Blue and White chairman and Defense Minister Bnei Gantz met today (Sunday) with MK Assaf Zamir and after a personal conversation, the two agreed that he will not be included in the blue and white list in the upcoming elections.

On behalf of the blue and white chairman, it was reported that he wished Zamir success in his future endeavors.

The end of Gantz and Zamir's joint path is not surprising in light of a series of disagreements between the two over the short term of the unity government.

About three months ago, MK Zamir resigned as Minister of Tourism, criticizing the government's response to the Corona crisis: To resign in a post he posted on social media.

He added: "After four and a half months as a member of the government, I regret to say that the corona crisis and its dire consequences are, at best, second only to the prime minister's priorities," Zamir wrote.

"It is the personal and legal considerations that are at the forefront of Netanyahu's eyes. This is evident at every step."

However, the rift between the years reached its peak about a week ago, when Zamir took part in a move that led to the dissolution of the Knesset, contrary to the official position of the Blue and White Party.

That evening, dubbed "Parking Night," four MKs from a white brush, including Assaf Zamir, announced that they would not support a compromise with the Likud. MK Zamir Zai.

The night before: "It's time to end with the farce," referring to the faltering partnership between Blue and White and the Likud.

Denied responsibility to the citizens of the State of Israel, I supported the unity government.

The same responsibility now requires considering the poor possibility of elections, in the face of the intolerable reality of a dysfunctional government, which in its actions crumbles the rules of the game, including the misuse of basic laws.

It is time to return to sovereignty in a democracy and seek its decision.
