Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai is expected to hold a press conference tomorrow (Tuesday), during which he will announce his intention to form a new party.
In a tweet posted on his Twitter account, Huldai wrote that "hundreds of thousands of Israelis feel they have no home in the current political system. We will raise our heads and give them back their hope. After joining a number of key figures in the Israeli public, it is time to present a clear alternative."
According to estimates, Huldai is not expected to leave his position as head until the deadline for submitting the lists to the Knesset - February 4.
In addition, he is not expected to present some of the names who have joined him tomorrow.

The Tel Aviv mayoral election is expected to take place 60 days from the moment Huldai resigns, as he will not be able to hold office at this time.
Recently, several names of potential candidates for the position have emerged, including Regional Cooperation Minister Ophir Akunis, former Tourism Minister and MK Assaf Zamir who is looking for a new political house after being removed from the blue and white list, and possibly Meretz chairman MK Nitzan Horowitz.
Also, as first reported in "Israel Today", the former head of the struggle in Corona, Professor Roni Gamzo, is considering running for office.
In a poll published yesterday in News 12, the party that unites Ron Huldai, former MK Ofer Shelach, Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn and the Labor Party received seven seats.
