Sweida-Sana
During the current year, the Ministry of Tourism granted licenses for praise and tourism rehabilitation to five tourism projects in the province of Sweida at an estimated cost of about 5 billion Syrian pounds.
As-Suwayda Tourism Director Yarob Al-Arbeed explained to the Sana Tourism and Society Bulletin that the tourism projects were divided into 3 projects that were granted tourism recognition licenses, including a restaurant, a cafeteria, a swimming pool with its accessories, a car-karting circuit in the mountainous region at a cost of one billion and 200 million pounds and a training center for tourism sciences in the city of As-Suwayda at a cost of 500 million Lira, restaurants and motels at the entrance to the town of Qanawat at a cost of two billion and 250 million pounds, and two projects that were granted a tourist qualification license, which are two three-star restaurants in the city of As-Suwayda, at an estimated cost of one billion pounds.
Al-Arbeed pointed out that work is underway on studying 8 tourism projects to grant them licenses for tribute and tourist employment during the coming period at a total cost of about 3 billion and 150 million pounds, including restaurants, swimming pools, parks and multi-use lounges in the city of Shahba, the town of Rassas, the Dahr al-Jabal area, and Al-Mujimer Al-Afina road. In addition to working on following up 9 projects to grant them tourist qualification licenses.
It is worth noting that the number of tourism projects put into service in the province of Sweida is 58, in addition to 3 tourism training centers and 32 travel and tourism offices.
