The Brexit has been completed with a historic contract and the European Union has been brought to its knees on a number of issues, according to Downing Street for days.

Nothing now stands in the way of an era of "national renewal", the United Kingdom is "free".

The last-minute treaty with the EU was immediately given the name “Christmas Eve Agreement” in London - as if it were on a par with the historic Good Friday Agreement in 1998, which ended the thirty-year civil war in Northern Ireland.
