Announced by Jean Castex on November 26, the closure of ski lifts in ski resorts during the Christmas holidays had caused concern among mountain rescue professionals.
With, in particular, the fear of seeing accidents related to other practices, such as ski touring.
"The fact that people think that the ski areas are safe as usual worries us"

A little more than a week after the start of the school holidays and while the mountain is experiencing a decrease in attendance linked to the closure of the ski lifts, the activity of the rescue services does not seem to have experienced a very sharp decrease in the gendarmerie platoon of high mountain (PGHM) of Annecy, in Haute-Savoie.
