Across the Atlantic, only 20% of Americans say they will not get immunized. In France, 56% say they are against the v

Two million Americans immunized, seven incidents listed.

For the moment, this is the official assessment of the first three weeks of the campaign carried out in the United States.

Of these seven cases, two occurred in mid-December in Alaska in caregivers, a woman and a man who suffered severe allergic reactions after receiving the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

The first was taken to intensive care, after a rash on the face and torso, followed by a runaway heart, reports The New York Times;

the other complained of dizziness and sore throat a few minutes after injecting the product, but after an hour these side effects were gone.

Of these seven cases, only one so far concerns the Moderna vaccine.

The victim, a Boston doctor, suffered from an allergy.

After a brief stay in the emergency room, he too has fully recovered.

Few contraindications

Due to this very small percentage of severe reactions, the American public health authority recommends these vaccines, including for allergics.

She simply asks them to stay at the injection site for an additional 15 to 30 minutes in case severe symptoms appear.

The messenger RNA vaccines developed by Pfizer and Moderna are only contraindicated in the event of hypersensitivity to one of their active substances or to an adjuvant, polyethylene glycol (PEG) in particular.
