The tension in the Likud over the question of the primaries is likely to be decided.
Israel Today has learned that yesterday a three-way conversation took place between the Prime Minister, Finance Minister Israel Katz, who serves as chairman of the Likud secretariat, and Haim Katz, chairman of the Likud Center, in which it was decided to work to cancel the primaries.
On Wednesday, Likud institutions will convene to discuss the matter and ask to begin passing the decision.
The primaries always produce tension and drama in the ruling party.
In recent weeks, ahead of the dissolution of the Knesset, the issue has been on the agenda of Likud members, with several MKs demanding primaries. Avoid wasting money on the Likud, and another argument that has arisen is that after leaving the "storm camp" there is no need to push those people off the list.
On Wednesday, the Likud's constitutional committee headed by Haim Katz will convene to pass a decision not to hold primaries and from there to the Likud secretariat, which will support the decision.
Instead, the party is formulating some proposals for slight changes to the list - the prime minister wants to get between five and six armor, but will probably have to make do with two to three armor.

Among the names that came up in the Likud for those armor are Ron Drummer, Gal Hirsch, Haim Bibbs and also Orly Levy.
The possibility of armor Orly Levy is causing unrest in the party.
One friend said, "Until a minute ago she was in Meretz, what is she related to us."
Among those disappointed by the impending decision to cancel the primaries will be MK Nir Barkat, who a few days ago said that "the Likud is the only democratic movement in Israel.
That is why we need to hold primaries to select the list for the Knesset, because this is our duty to the 140,000 Likud functionaries. "
