Murder on Route 6: Police began this morning (Monday) investigating the circumstances of the shooting incident, in which a 20-year-old man was killed and his friend was fatally injured while driving on Route 6, even though the vehicle they were traveling in was accompanied by three police vehicles for safety.

According to a preliminary investigation of the incident, three police vehicles accompanied the convoy of vehicles, including four vehicles belonging to the Abu Saluk family, who fled Lod following the assassination of Salman Azbarka during the night, and fear of revenge.

Three police vehicles escorted the family to a hiding place in Kafr Qassem, but at one point a vehicle overtook the security vehicle, clinging to the vehicle in which they were killed and injured, without the police even noticing it, shot at the occupants and fled the scene.

The cops thought it was an accident

Due to the shooting, the driver lost control of his vehicle and overturned.

At first they thought it was a car accident, but another car that was at the scene realized that it was an assassination, but the police did not have time to chase the assassins, who disappeared.

Now the Central District Police will probably appoint an investigating officer, who will investigate how the default occurred, in which the escort police did not understand that these were assassins who clung to the secure vehicle and did not even chase after them.

The MDA team that arrived at the scene provided them with medical treatment and evacuated them to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva. This is apparently a criminal incident, as the police are investigating the circumstances of the case and many forces have jumped to the scene.

Avichai Hadad, deputy director of the Yarkon area at MDA, said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a vehicle in a ditch on the side of the road. Two young people traveling in the vehicle were unconscious with penetrating injuries.

The young men who were shot were on their way to Kafr Qassem and it was learned that a police car was following them.

The police do not deny that the shooting at them was carried out in response to a murder that took place in the morning in Lod.

As you may recall, around 05:35 a report was received of a shooting incident on Helen Keller Street in the industrial area of the city.

MDA and police forces located an unconscious man inside the scene in a Land Cruiser jeep.

The Shefela area police said that the man was considered known to the police, and the suspicion is that Medov was murdered against the background of a struggle between rival families that has been going on in the city for several years.

It was later released that the murdered man had been identified as Salman Azberga.
