A white police officer accused of killing a black man last week in Columbus, Ohio, was fired on Monday (December 28th), officials in the northern city said.

The death of Andre Maurice Hill had sparked indignation in a country crossed since the spring by a historic movement against police violence and racism.
The 47-year-old African-American was in the garage of a house when he was shot several times by Adam Coy.
The police had been called on the spot for a minor incident.
The agent was suspended in the wake.
"Analysis of the evidence justifies the dismissal"
