The Mong Kok and Causeway Bay branches of the chain karaoke store Neway were accused of defaulting on rent and miscellaneous fees for more than half a year. The owner entered last Thursday (24th). The case involved Neway's branches on the 4th and 5th floors of Mong Kok Centre, and the branch of Le Sing Building, Yee Wo Street, Causeway Bay. The owners of the two branches are CRE PROPERTY (ARGYLE CENTRE) LIMITED and CRE PROPERTY (LOK SING CENTRE) LIMITED.
The complaint states that the Mong Kok Central Branch has defaulted on rent, management fees, air-conditioning charges, etc. since May this year; while the Lesheng Building Branch has defaulted on payment, billboard fees, etc. since April this year, each of which is about 14 million yuan. And 19 million yuan.
Therefore, litigation was initiated to recover the arrears and demanded to be closed.
